Globe Tatoo can be Smart Tatoo or Sun Tatoo for version 11.300.05.18.158 only

There are a lot of Globe Tatoo unlocker tools available on the internet nowadays. I just noticed that my friend is having problems with versions similar to mine the “Huawei E1552. He said that the algorithm option does not work, this simply means that the E1552 can only be opened manually and not by his current unlocker. I happen to have tried over 5 programs and got one that really works, I’m using it now and got my USB modem opened. I would like to share this by unlocking your modem for free provided that it’s a E1552. You know the procedure right? Just send me the IMEI and I’ll do the rest. The settings for the modem is everywhere. I just noticed that some the settings really vary, based on older post by other users the optional settings were on CHAP whereas on my settings its PAP.

I read the blog title from one of the forums I found while looking for this software. I saved around 1800PHP because I don’t have to buy all three USB dongles having a 3 networks as my mobile provider this proves to be one of the best things that we can get for free. I’m not sure how to lock it again though but I don’t think that you’ll be breaking such a nifty tool for your daily internet browsing needs right? Let’s get this started. Once you have received your unlock code, insert your Smart or Sun SIM on your Globe Tatoo USB Dongle. Once you plug it in, it will ask for the unlock code. There is an error margin of 10 trials (3 wrong entries is too much). After it accepts the code you can proceed with the settings of your Globe Tatoo USB dongle.

 

Here are the settings:

SMARTBRO SIM:

DIAL: *99#
PROTOCOL: PAP
DNS: (Advanced Setting)

 

Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222

Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

 

SUN (Works with SUN Postpaid SIM cards):

I’ve edited the title so that we won’t waste each others time. This thread is  for personal use only and you  agree that you are responsible for any issues that might arise from unlocking your USB modems the moment you asked me for the Flash code. You will be given 10 chances to enter the right flash upon unlocking, anything in excess might get your USBs damaged or permanently locked. 1. Does this unlocking only work on Globe USB WiFi modems, or will it also work on the Smart and Sun modems?

2. Of the three USB WiFi modems, which one do you think is the best to use in terms of hardware?

3. Of the three USB WiFi modem ISPs, which do you recommend depending on area/location, signal availability, and overall service quality?

All WiFi Modems can be unlocked. It was a bit difficult for mobile shop repair centers to unlock the E1552 model though. I happen to have one.

Here they are according to my personal and unrated review:

1. Smart/PLDT WeRoam
2. Globe Tattoo
3. Sun

So far Smart WiFi or PLDT WeRoam is in it’s 4th Release of WiFi Modems which works better. They release a modem type then waits for feedback from their customers. If they find the modem too slow or faulty, they recall and replace the old modem with new ones. (Tested and used all types)

Globe is in it’s 2nd release, far more better than the old one which comes with an antenna port (First release). The second release is kind of a bulky than the first one and comes with an artistic design making Globe Tattoo stylish but does not compensate the lack of signal and speed. (Tried and tested both models)

Sun Uses the first release of Globe (Plain and white) it is not recommend to be used on houses with thick walls or enclosed areas. (Tried and tested)

All WiFi modems still depend on the signal strength. Regardless if you have the latest WiFi modem, if your signal is not that high (3 bars and below) I recommend getting a wired connection. Mobile phone repair people use Smart Bro’s modem with Globe SIM cards here. This combination works better.

Sun has a good signal reception but cannot be maximized. All USB WiFi connections also depends the number of users in your area since they all share the same IP address.

In Benguet PLDT WeRoam has the same connection speed as my Bayan DSL here in Manila.

Globe, Smart and Sun works equally here in Quezon City (my area, all are signal dependent and has a normal consistent connection speed of 300kbps and below)

As far as I can remember, Czar says that SUN broadband works fine for him (Katipunan Q.C)

my e1552 cannot use the unlock code, some program had listed the input code counter had reached 10….and cannot flash it other version either, any way to fix that?

Unfortunately the unlocking tool is only available for version 11.300.05.18.158 only. This is the reason why you get the error. I unlock the old version for free since it was not readily available to cellphone repair shops when I made this post.

The newer version is faster but the unlock tool kit is available on some cellphone repair shops.

I got interested on the unlock because they can’t do it before :P

Sorry but there is no fix for the newer version, you can get it unlocked at Waltermart North EDSA, look for Gentelecom, they’d be glad to assist you with it if you are within Quezon City. The unlock codes has already spread like wild fire on the local cellphone repair industry, but take note, anything higher than 150.00 pesos is a ripoff.

If the process gives you an error message like: “ACTION NOT ALLOWED” it means that you have a newer version of your USB modem. However kung nai-open line nyo na, you can update it’s firmware. Do not update it yet unless it has already been unlocked.

:P hmmn as long as di mo nai-plug sa PC or laptop mo agad I guess it should work fine when it dries up otherwise you’ll end up with a flunky USB modem. Wala pa akong kilalang nagrerepair nyan and Globe does not cover it on their very limited warranty for the USBs.

Hmmn dapat meron lalabas na prompt lalo pag ibang sim ang nilagay. Kahit ordinary prepaid sim lang normally lumalabas ang prompt. Pero depende talaga sa version ng Tattoo mo pag mas mataas na version kesa sa 11.300.05.18.158 hindi gagana ang unlock.

Uhm,yung version naman poh ng tattoo ko is 11.300.05.10.158,ordinary smart prepaid sim poh yung ginamit ko,pero nagtataka poh ako kung bakit di naman poh sya nagpapromt for any unlock code,kaya di ko poh tuloy maenter yung unlock code na binigay nyo poh,sayang tuloy di ko poh magamit…..huhuhu….
