Hello Siri

At first I was very excited to have this baby on my hands, the excitement kinda faded when I got a separate camera to take pictures. I was also worried that Siri might be picky or accent dependent just like what my dentist said “Siri has difficulties understanding Asian English”, tried it on her iPhone 4s and yup her Siri is really . Maybe Siri does, but so far she can pick up 80% of what I asked her. Network activation takes 24 to 48 hours… bummer..

The Relentless ChiChi of the 21st

Be very careful stalking the woods. Even a familiar can lose its lucidity once it gets tired of an ambivalent attitude. I maybe brazen and unruly at times but I mean no harm…

SPAM!

Whenever we turn-on our computers and check our emails we get a spam email. If you are using a corporate email account and you do not send out emails outside, you still get some either from your ever happy colleagues who wants to share something to inspire you (which rarely happens) or they just want to share something that is totally irrelevant.

Single-core mobile phones will be struggling soon

Mobile phones evolve so fast and this trend has been going on since the release of the GSM mobile phones. I can still remember the days when I had a Motorola Modulus (cannot find a link :-( ) on my pocket, it was only 8 months old when Nokia released the Nokia 5110. From there, mobile phones in the Philippines never stopped gaining popularity. There was a time when mobile phones were so small that you can barely type in a number or compose a message. Clam-shell types were also a fad and then the camera equipped mobile phones with expandable memory options. There came a time that a mobile phone is all you need if you are going to a vacation with family and friends. As the years go by, more and more features were added to these devices; giving you the best mobile experience technology has to offer.

Browser Alternative for iPad Users

This app performed well on Android based mobile devices and continues to shine with its cool tabbed browsing feature (Pretty much like Google Chrome) including the unique “Gestures for navigation” feature. I had no issues with the Safari so far but its a bit of a nag whenever you have to press the “display all windows” feature. Safari had everything compressed but then again… You cannot please everybody. As a fan of stock apps on almost everything, Safari ranked 2nd to Opera. Opera on the other hand  is fast indeed but has extra features that you really don’t need let alone its RAM consumption.

QR Codes… The next generation messaging medium?

Quick, safe and simple. Everybody wants to share something over the internet; gadgets, images, events, etc. whatever it is we see “Sharing or Share” on our mobile devices or computers.

There are a few ways to share and save time while making it more secured. Ever wonder how great it would be if you can send a contact, link or small plain text messages without having to worry that your mom or sister can read it (except if they have a QR Droid to decode it)? Gone are the days when picture messages first arrived to the mobile era, I can’t even remember when it started….
